Miss Miranda has had a passion for music as long as she can remember! At three years of age, she wore out her parents' cassette tape of John Denver by playing it and singing with it over and over again. She has fond memories of singing solos and in groups in her small hometown church, and grew up playing the piano, violin, and flute.

At Kansas State University, she decided to concentrate on her favorite instrument - the violin - and played in the K-State Orchestra for five years, sitting as concertmistress for her fourth and fifth year.  She also loved playing with her string quartet at KSU.  She earned a degree in business administration with a minor in music.

Miranda's job experience after graduation includes working in the marketing department at a botanical garden, and as an accountant at a small investment firm.  She then worked for the Kansas City Symphony as the Volunteer and Events Coordinator, until the birth of her son.

She is now a mom to a bouncing toddler (who LOVES his Kindermusik classes!), teaches private violin lessons, and has been teaching Kindermusik for InJoy Music since 2009.  Miranda is a big fan of the positive, encouraging environment that Kindermusik fosters, and is thrilled to have the opportunity to share her love of music and movement with children through this program!
